FUNDS DISTRIBUTED TO OUTREACH MINISTRIES

The committee made up of Fr. Jim, Cynthia LaNuez, a Parish Council Member and a Finance Council Member met on January 7, 2010 and decided on the
allocation of the funds raised by the car raffle.

The proceeds totaled $40,807.86 and were distributed as follows:
Foster Care Ministry $ 500
Friends of the Orphans $ 600
Maggie’s Place $ 2,900
Andre House $ 5,000
St. Joseph the Worker $ 6,000
Habitat for Humanity $20,000

In addition $5807.86 will be held in an emergency fund to be used to help poor parishes who face challenges throughout this year. If all the funds set aside for this purpose are not used by December 1, 2010, they will be re-allocated to the above ministries or to another worthy organization.  Thank you to all who purchased a raffle ticket to support outreach ministries. As always St. Thomas More parishioners are faithful to their baptismal call.
